Sam Fitzpatrick is a bassist, arranger, and recordist based in Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Guelph, Sam moved to Toronto to study jazz performance at Humber College. Since then, he has become a sought-after sideman for a variety of artists, including folk-rock band The Lifers and pop-singer Meesha Shafi.
During the pandemic, Sam started recording string overdubs out of his apartment, providing his services to a range of musicians including Pusher and Andrew Huang. Sam's playing and arrangements are marked by their sensitivity and versatility, and his contributions have been praised for their ability to enhance the emotional impact of the music.
